Lenormal Harden Dooley, age 88, of North Chicago, Illinois passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2011. She was born in Killen, Alabama on September 16, 1923 to Selma and Pearlie Harden. After high school graduation, she moved to North Chicago to begin a working career. Later she married and had two sons. She retired from Abbott Laboratories after more than 20 years of service. For two decades of her retirement years she resided in Las Vegas, Nevada before returning to North Chicago in 2007. Mrs. Dooley believed in hard work, healthy eating and living, enjoying life, drinking a lot of water, and being thrifty. She is survived by her two sons Biars (Joan) Davis, Jr. of Nashville, TN, Norman Bruce (Jo Ann) Davis of Land-O-Lakes, FL, three grand daughters (Lisa Davis of Woodstock, IL, Vanessa (Bryant) Ruble of Aurora, IL, Amber Davis of Chicago, IL), and five great grand children (Kira Cotts, Nicholas Cotts, Daniel Davis, Raven Ruble, Jeramy Ruble). She is also survived by four brothers: Herbert (Mary Ann) Smith, Edward (Betty) Harden, John (Doris) Harden, Kenneth Harden; thirteen sisters: Hazel Rather, Cora Walker, Comotress Harden, Nellie Tillie, Christine Elliott, Anita Thompson, Elsie Waddell, Emogne Hammond, Ernestine Harden, Harris Harden, Wanda Harden, Frances Sanderfer, Barbara (Larry) Horton, Linda Williams, and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, Montros Fields, and three sisters: Helen Higgins, Lucy Winchester, and Edna Benjamin.

A Celebration of Her Life Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Bradshaw & Range Funeral Home, 2513 Dugdale Road, Waukegan, IL. Rev. Edward Jackson, Officiating.
