Willie Lee Brown, 67, of Waukegan, IL passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 in Waukegan, IL.

He was born June 9, 1944 in Sledge Mississippi to Walter Brown and Quincy Brown.

He accepted Christ at Prayer Garden C.O.G.I.C where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher until 1994. He then transferred his membership to the Rehoboth C.O.G.I.C Waukegan, IL since 1994 where he served as Chairman of the Deacon Board.

He is survived by his wife, Emma L. Brown; 4 sons, Victor, Anthony, LaTroy, Darren and Darren’s wife Larissa, his special caretaker and the daughter that he never had. He is also survived by a host of brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren and a special sister-in law Nellie Jean Stovall.

He was preceded in death by his father Walter Brown, brother, Walter Brown Jr. and his sister Janette Coleman.

The Home Going Celebration will be at the Prayer Garden C.O.G.I.C. 2813 20th Street, North Chicago, IL on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. Elder Charles Taylor, Pastor, Elder Timothy Jones, Officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. Entombment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Zion, IL.
